Bel Air, HAITI SCHOOL LUNCH FUNDRAISER

The country of Haiti provides no funding for local education or meals for children, leaving it up to parents to find and fund education and meals. The church at Bel Air has stepped in to help their community educate children for primary school and provide them with a meal per day.  We currently have 40 children within our school, and with a one-time gift of $120, you can feed one child for the school year (10 months) or just $12 a month. Imagine the blessing that would provide a child.

did you know

Did you know that all of Haiti’s schooling is funded and conducted through local communities, churches, and Non-Governmental Organizations?

Unfortunately, the Haitian government provides no funding to support education or meals at the local level. This is where iReach Ministry feels the calling to help support the church’s school by providing school materials for each child. In addition, we support the teachers, staff, and meals for students.

Today at the Bel Air School, they work hard to provide each child with a meal a day. Often, this meal is the only meal these children receive, making it crucial for their wellbeing.

The Bel Air Church meets the local education needs and currently serves approximately 40 children from preschool through 5th grade from September to June. It costs approximately $120.00 US a year to support each child with their daily meal at school.

Quick Facts

According to the Human Capital Index, a child born today in Haiti will grow up to be only 45% as productive as they could be if he/she had enjoyed full education and healthcare.
